I just love coloured glass.  Makes me feel cosy!  This is a three part hanging candle holder.

A beautiful day at Lake Manitoba.

Deck chair.  I meant to blur the beach behind more but goddamn, I’m still getting used to this camera.

The Chair.

Decrepit old barns are commonplace all over the prairies.  I think they look awesome.  Too bad this one was way in the distance!  It’s quite awesome.

Don’t you just want to fix that up and live in it?

For you, a beautiful evening sunset over the lake.

Saturday, August 29th, 2009 – 37/365

Today we were out in the countryside driving around. The first photo’s from a cool, retro diner we stopped at for hotdogs and ice cream.

The second was taken outside this same diner, purely because I loved the old truck. It’s not a good photo but the truck’s awesome!

It’s also worth mentioning, while out I spotted this alarming sign:

I don’t even want to know what prizes they’re offering. My mind’s full of naked 80 year olds with their boobs and balls scraping the floor. Sorry were you eating?

This is a road near Clandeboye, Manitoba. Just the way I like it – empty and open. Taken on one of what's sure to be the last days of summer. BOO HOO.

The apple trees outside our apartment building are blooming just now. I just love the reds and the greens.

Now if only we could grow lemons…
